Lesson 2 from Master Punters dojo Staking Wisdom
Welcome young apprentice punter, sit in humble meditaion for Master Punter is about to impart great staking strategy wisdom to you.Staking Basics
Master Punter has seen many foolish apprentices loose much money and suffer greatly, for they ignore the most ancient staking rule:Never gamble more than you wish to loose
These unfortunate punters only consider what they wish to win and this can blind them from the reality of what they stand to loose. So as a wise punter, prepare yourself with the question: how much can I safely loose?Long Term Profits
Following on from this, ask yourself how much have I won from your punting activities this year? Maybe you've done well, in which case good, you are lucky punter. Now ask yourself, how much have I lost to gambling this year? If the answer to this is less than your winnings, then your are either a very lucky punter or an accomplished one. But for most aspiring punters, over time losses are far greater than winnings. So Master Punter solemly advises the apprentice to work towards long term profits, to minimise losses and maximise profits and this can be acheived with a good Staking Strategy
Safe Staking Strategies
Drip Systems
A long and careful path the punter must tread towards his goal, the goal of long term profits, like a drip system staking strategy. A simple yet very effective plan, that is also a very safe strategy. A drip system is where you have a starting bank (amount of money) to bet with, and for each bet you place, you only ever use a small percentage of the bank e.g. 10% or less. So if you loose you are never hit badly and as you win your bank steadily grows.Spreading Risk
Do not put all your eggs in one basket. A punter can easily spread the risk by backing more than one selection in an event, even whilst still favouring one particular selction to win. For instance in a horse race one can choose a favourite to win and then back several other good runners so that if the favourite does not come in then one can break even on the other good runners. This is acheived with a some calculation, and from lesson 1, you will have learnt that the
Total Equalizer with it's bias function does all these calculations for you.
